The Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad served as the venue for the intimate yet traditional wedding of Jeet Adani, the son of business magnate Gautam Adani. In a ceremony that exemplified India’s rich cultural heritage, Jeet and Diva, the daughter of diamond magnate Jaimin Shah, exchanged vows. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, a renowned Indian couturier, is purportedly the designer of the bride’s ivory and crimson lehenga.
The wedding festivities were adorned with exquisite handcrafted crafts and textiles that were meticulously selected by local artisans from all over the country. The wedding party donned stunning traditional attire, which included hand-woven Paithani sarees crafted by artisans from Nashik, Maharashtra, while guests received unique handcrafted gifts.
The Paithani saree, a cherished possession for many, is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and intricate designs. These sarees are a true treasure, with prices that can reach as high as Rs 11 Lakh. A substantial order of Paithani sarees was placed for Jeet Adani’s wedding, which benefited the local artisans and their families.
Manish Malhotra, a renowned fashion designer, collaborated with Families of Disabled (FOD), a Delhi-based NGO, to design intricate, hand-painted shawls for the newlywed couple, Diva Shah and Jeet Adani. This distinctive partnership not only demonstrates the designer’s abilities but also promotes a noble cause by empowering artisans with disabilities and promoting “Vocal for Local” initiatives.
Gautam Adani’s Philanthropic Act
