Following the near the end of the reconstruction project, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has relocated its office in the city to its previous address. The new location is situated on a 3.75-acre property and spans five lakh square feet of built-up area. The complex includes three 13-story towers and approximately 300 rooms and offices.
According to sources, the RSS office in Keshav Kunj has undergone a reconstruction process that has resulted in a cost of nearly ₹150 crore. This sum was raised through contributions from more than 75,000 individuals who are sympathetic to the Hindutva organization’s ideology. The process has lasted for more than eight years, during which time the COVID-19 outbreak has caused disruption and delay.
They also stated that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale will be in attendance at a “karyakarta sammelan” of the organization’s Delhi unit on February 19 to commemorate the commencement of its operations from the Jhandewalan office.
According to the sources, the RSS, which is headquartered in Nagpur, will conduct its annual ‘Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha’ in Bengaluru from March 21 to March 23. This forum is regarded as the RSS’s supreme decision-making authority.
The meeting, which is attended by nearly 1,500 individuals, including senior functionaries of the RSS and affiliated organizations, is a forum for discussions on critical issues in addition to organizational matters. Resolutions are enacted to clarify the Sangh’s stance on a variety of topics. The exercise is also attended by senior BJP leaders, including the party’s president. The sources stated that RSS had been operating from a leased space in the national capital since 2016, following the commencement of the reconstruction and renovation project at the location where it had been operating since 1962. This was in reference to the rebuilt premises.
Architect Anup Dave, who is based in Gujarat, has designed the new premise, which is a significant departure from the previous two-story structure. The new structure is designed to be airy and exposed to adequate sunlight by combining modern technology with ancient architectural practices.
Sadhna, Prerna, and Archna are the names of the three towers (ground floor plus 12 storeys). Ashok Singhal, a prominent Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) functionary who is closely associated with the Ram temple movement, is the name of one of the largest auditoriums. Another hall can accommodate an audience of 650 members, while this contemporary auditorium can seat 463 individuals.
According to the sources, the RSS office is equipped with a library, health clinic, and effluent treatment plant, in addition to providing accommodation for its functionaries and members. It also has solar power facilities to meet a portion of its total electricity requirements.
They also stated that the RSS premises will house offices for the publishing firm Suruchi Prakashan, which has been producing books and other literature that aligns with the Hindutva organization’s ideology, as well as the RSS-linked weeklies Panchjanya and Organiser.
The sources stated that the health facilities will be accessible to the impoverished residents of the area, and outsiders will also be able to utilize the library facilities.
Modern and expansive auditoriums and conference spaces are situated within the new facilities.
