The Delhi Assembly polls this year saw nearly 100 women candidates compete; however, only five emerged as victors, with four from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and one from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This is the lowest number of female candidates to emerge as winners in the past decade.
