The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together more on study and training in mental health and neurosciences.

Chief Surgeon Vice-Admiral Arti Sarin, who is in charge of AFMS, and Dr. Prathima Murthy, who is in charge of NIMHANS, signed the deal on March 18.

The MoU will encourage joint academic projects, faculty exchange programs, and research efforts. These will help solve important healthcare problems and lead to better patient care and scientific progress.
