A lot of people called out some Pakistani singers, like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir, for what they said after India’s Operation Sindoor. Now, star Celina Jaitly has spoken out against them, asking why they don’t say anything about terrorism in their country. Celina calls Fawad and Mahira names
When Celina talked to News18 Showsha, she talked about how she felt about the tension between India and Pakistan.
Celina told her, “India needs to come first.” The best thing for our country must always come first. Pakistani artists are quick to take advantage of our booming entertainment business, but they don’t say anything about the terrorism that their government backs. They have the chance to speak out against violence and demand change, but they choose to remain silent. We need to be firm and set clear limits until there is real accountability and earnest work to break up terror networks.
The Indian government recently told all Indian OTT platforms to stop streaming any songs, movies, TV shows, or apps that were made in Pakistan. The new notice from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said, “For the sake of national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms, and intermediaries operating in India are hereby advised to cease immediately the distribution of web series, films, songs, podcasts, and other streaming media content originating in Pakistan, whether for a fee or otherwise.”
Celina said the same thing: “When people who have the power to affect millions of people choose to be quiet, that silence becomes unbearable.” Being patriotic doesn’t mean making a show; it means standing tall for your country when it needs you the most. People who stood up and people who walked away will always be remembered. But as the daughter and granddaughter of decorated soldiers and the sister of a Special Forces officer, I can say with certainty that I am deeply patriotic… It is only right for our business to take a moment to think when our soldiers are fighting on the front lines and families are grieving the deaths of loved ones that are beyond words. This union shows that our country and its people are the most important things in the world. Real patriotism shines best when everyone is going through the same kind of pain and strength.
There is trouble between India and Pakistan
Following the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26, things got much worse between India and Pakistan. There is a diplomatic problem because of what happened. As a reaction to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces started Operation Sindoor last week. This is a mission to destroy terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok).
After the peace between India and Pakistan, things are slowly getting back to normal. Still, people in India are still calling for a boycott of Pakistani stars like Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan.
