The Galaxy M36 has been spotted on Samsung’s official support website, suggesting that the company may be on the brink of releasing it in India. The listing does not disclose the phone’s specifications; however, it does corroborate its model number, SM-M366B/DS, and suggests that the launch may occur in the upcoming weeks.

It is intriguing that this is not the initial instance in which the Galaxy M36 has been discovered online. The device’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset was disclosed when it was discovered on Geekbench in April. Unlike the Galaxy M35 and A35 of last year, which were virtually identical except for the M35’s larger battery, this is a significant departure from the Galaxy A36, which is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. This implies that the two phones may have differences beyond their battery capacities.

The Geekbench listing also suggested that the device would come equipped with 6GB of RAM and Android 15, with Samsung’s One UI 7 skin set to be applied on top. Additionally, the device achieved a score of 1,004 in single-core and 2,886 in multi-core performance tests, which provides an indication of its processing capabilities. It is reported that the Arm Mali G68 GPU will be responsible for the graphics.

In addition, the Galaxy M36 has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG and India’s BIS, which typically indicates that the device is in the final phases of development prior to its official launch. Given that the Galaxy M35 was unveiled in late May of last year, it would not be unexpected for the M36 to follow a similar timeline. Samsung’s Galaxy M36 is expected to arrive in India shortly, as all indications suggest that it is set to be released soon.

Although the complete specification document has not been disclosed by Samsung, it is possible that it may incorporate some features from its Galaxy A36 sibling, if we consider the strategy of the previous Galaxy M device. The Galaxy M36 has the potential to provide a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximal brightness of up to 1,900 nits. In terms of photography, it is possible that a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor will be implemented. A 12-megapixel front-facing camera may be located on the front. Potential storage options include 128GB and 256GB, with the highest-end model potentially featuring 12GB of RAM.

The Galaxy M-series is typically introduced as an online-first product, and the M36 may follow suit by being exclusively available on Amazon India. It was announced that the M35 would be priced at Rs 19,999 in India. Although the M36’s ultimate price has not yet been determined, it is anticipated to be priced below Rs 25,000.
