Narendra Modi was born on 17th September 1950, 3 years after India attained freedom and within months of India becoming a Republic, in the by-lanes of Vadnagar, a small town in North Gujarat’s Mehsana district. Narendra Modi was the third of the six children of Damodardas Modi and Hiraba Modi.
Modi’s family belonged to the marginalized sections of society and had to struggle to make ends meet, according to his profile in Narendramodi.in. The family was said to be living in a small single-story house, approximately 40 feet by 12 feet. His father was said to have sold tea at the local railway station.
He Sleeps very less
PM Modi is known to be a workaholic. He takes only 5 hours of sleep and he gets up at 5.30 AM. Once in 2012, someone asked him how many hours he sleeps a day. In his reply, Modi said: “I sleep very less. Yoga, Pranayama, and deep breathing keep me energetic throughout the day!”
